Moda Fabrics

We have a number of new Moda Fabric ranges in with a wide variety of styles. Rouenneries Deux is by French General and follows on from the popular Rouenneries range. There are ten fabrics by the metre as well as a fat quarter pack charm pack, layer cake and jelly roll.

A Walk in the Woods is by Aneela Hoey and features Little Red Riding Hood and her sweet little crafty fox friend and discover enchanting little mushrooms and singing blue birds along the way. This charming collection with a sweet storybook feel in candy colors is perfect to put a little spring into sewing projects!

Hello Luscious by Basic Grey is decadently delightful, completely divine line of brilliantly bright, temptingly cute fabric designs. Stylishly provocative. Charming and disarming. Nothing but yum.

We also have a constantly changing number of Moda pre-cut packs Jelly Rolls, Layer Cakes and Charm Packs. Or we have some basic Moda ranges of Moda Marbles, Modascapes and Moda Grunge. 

Patchwork Fabric Charm Packs

Our latest Newsletter featured lots and lots of new Charm packs and these have kept Ken, our expert fabric cutter, even busier than usual. Lots of our new ranges have got Charm packs so you can sample the range without spending a huge amount. We also have five of the Robert Kaufman Kona plain fabric charms as well. These complement the Kona Roll-Ups that we already stock.

There is a new range of Essential Marble Fabrics. Over 50 different shades so you are certain to find one of these patchwork blenders that fits in with your quilt project. As well as fabrics by the metre there is a charm pack of 50 fabrics cut to 5" square. C5200

Amy Butler Soul Blossoms Fabrics

Soul Blossoms the new range of fabrics by Amy Butler for Rowan fabrics is arriving soon. We will be taking the entire range of patchwork and quilting weight fabrics for Amy's new bright and colourful designs. The fabrics should be with us in early February and you can preview all the fabrics on the website already. As well as selling the Soul Blossoms fabrics by the metre we will also be doing three fat quarter packs, a charm pack and a strip roll. I will update the blog when the bolts come through the door.

Free Quilt Pattern Downloads

Square Jelly Quilt Pattern

We have three free quilt pattern downloads available for quilt projects made from some of our most popular pre-cut packs. For example the Scrappy Charm Throw shown can be made from one Kaffe Fassett Prints Charm Pack (C2101) and one Shot-Cotton Charm Pack (C2100) and 40cm piece of fabric for the borders. The Quilts have been designed by Sally Ablett.

Rural Jardin Layer Cake from Moda

We have two new ranges from Moda. Rural Jardin is designed by French General who also designed the popular Rouenneries fabric range. We have a Layer Cake, Jelly Roll and Charm Pack as well as a fat quarter pack and six fabrics by the metre.

Hunky Dory designed by Chez Moi for Moda is a bright collection of fabrics, featuring lime greens, muted pinks and subtle blues. Again the fabrics are available in Layer Cake, Jelly Roll and Charm pack formats. We also have a fat quarter pack and five fabrics by the metre.

Moda Fabric Packs and Jelly Rolls - Flag Day Farm

Flag Day Farm is the latest Pre-cut pack from Moda. The fabrics are available as a Layer Cake, Charm Pack or Jelly Roll. Below are illustrations of some of the fabrics in the range so that you can get a better flavour.

Country Store Fabrics - Patchwork Fabrics

Another completely new range we have just launched is our Country Store range. These are small scale designs such as dots, stars, small flowers and checks in warm, country colours. There are 30 fabrics available by the metre or as fat quarter packs, a charm pack and special collection pack or as one of our new strip rolls with 30 fabrics cut to 2 1/2" strips.

Oriental Fabrics

We have a new range of Oriental-inspired patchwork fabrics called Hana. Groups of the fabric are available as four fat quarter packs or as a Special Collection pack, or you can buy them individually by the metre. A lovely fabric range with a fine metallic overprint.

Quilt Pink II from Moda

Moda has produced a new range of fabrics for its successful Quilt Pink initiative, which ran last year. Quilt Pink is a US sponsored event to benefit breast cancer research, so for our part The Cotton Patch made a donation from our Quilt Pink sales to St. Mary's Hospice, which is a local Birmingham-based charity.

We have a Charm Pack of 25 fabrics as well as a fat quarter pack and 13 pink fabrics by the metre. The fabrics are priced £9/m and we will donate 50p for every metre sold.
